PERFORMANCE

Solo | Group Dance Performance | Acting | Speaking Roles

Vania performs solo and group choreography throughout the greater Seattle community.
As a featured dancer for Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center inaugural African American Master Choreographer series, featuring choreography by Kabby Mitchell, her entrance in the performance of Beautiful/Ugly, May 2007 was deemed by Mitchell as, “indelible in my mind”. He described her overall performance as “…a remarkable dance presence for the audience that was inspirational and a pleasure to behold.” Vania has performed many genres of dance including, Modern, Jazz, Salsa, Swing, Hip Hop, Afro-Caribbean, and Liturgical.

Vania currently teaches Ballet and Jazz dance for youth at Definitive Dance Studio on Mercer Island. She has also taught at Ballet Bellevue, Rotary Boys and Girls Club, and Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center. Vania conducted dance workshops with 6th Day Dance Company and Irene’s School of Dance in Silverdale, WA.



CHOREOGRAPHY

Solo | Group Choreography

Vania has choreographed for Jerboa Dance, the Hal Jackson Talented Teen of Washington Scholarship Competition, Eastside Lyric Opera, and New Beginnings Christian Fellowship Renton, WA where she is the Director of the Adult Liturgical Dance Ministry. Her expressive and moving choreography is also the centerpiece of her self-produced productions.
